‘GAME OF THE WEEK’ ENDS IN STALEMATE

WEEK-19 of the 2018/2019 Wildcat Premier Futsal League produced some interestin­g results as the ‘game of the week’ involving K-Line FC and Chiparamba ended in a 3-3 stalemate at Automotive Futsal Arena in Lusaka.

K-Line who were seeking maximum three points to reclaim fifth position on the 14- team Wildcat Premier Futsal League table failed to overcome Chiparamba who are lying on 7th position.

The stalemate however pushed both K-Line FC and Chiparamba to 28 points with K-Line occupying sixth position on the league table because of having a better goal difference.

K-Line have scored 127 goals and have allowed 93-goals in 19-game while Chiparamba boast of having a goal deference of 6-goals after allowing 97-goals compared to the 103-goals scored.

Another much anticipate­d week-19 fixture involving Castle Five FC and Tamanga Juldan produced another stalemate as both teams settled for a 4-4 score line.

The result was shocking for Castle Five who were anticipati­ng maximum three points to reclaim third position on the league table.

Meanwhile, Automotive FC maintained their unbeaten record after walloping Vector Academy 13-1 at Futsal Arena.

The win escalated the defending champions to 57-points, six points ahead of second placed Indy Bullets who beat George FC 7-3 to maintain their unbeaten record.

In other matches played over the weekend, struggling Parmalat FC picked its fourth win of the season after overcoming Saints Gomes 12-5 in a 17 goal three at Automotive Futsal Arena.

Printech FC whitewashe­d CSS Futsal Club 6-0 while Alliance Inter maintained its five game winning streak after overcaming Pembe Beetles 4-1.
