Battering of PF cadres in Sesheke

-

Dear Editor, THE notion that PF cadres were battered by police in Sesheke by-election leaves much to be desired. When those video clips were shown on Prime TV, one wonders why the police who were battering those PF cadres were not captured or seen. Normally when policemen are beating up people we see the clips.

This was a planned move, a conspiracy in which you don’t need to be a magician to know why the UPND are describing the police as being professional, when only yesterday they were calling them criminals and brutal, what hypocrisy?

If this known political party leader is left to do his Armageddon with impunity, this country will go up in flames.

Now that Parliament is back in session, that proposal ‘’presidential term limit’’ motion from one of the PF MPs should promptly be tabled without fear or favour.

Any hesitation to table this motion will compromise the political situation and peace in our country.

The talk of discrimination from those opposing it should be dismissed with the contempt it deserves.

Every constitution has good and bad laws at the same time.

We have hundreds if not thousands of people who do not have the Grade 12 certificates and not eligible to stand for any election in our county because that’s the law.

What’s so special about one individual, who wants to impose himself to be a leader of our country?

In the recent election in DR Congo, a lot of politicians were not allowed to stand as presidential candidates, including the powerful and famous Moise Katumbi because of the law. KK was barred under Frederick Chiluba rule (M.H.S.R.I.P.)

The Nsenga adage says “gwilisa chimene uli nacho mzimu supasa kawiri’’ simply means utilise the chance you have, because you may not have the same chance tomorrow.

Another Bemba adage say “uluse lwalile nkwale” or “chifunsa chinapha nkhwale.”

Note that when the dog is about to die, it loses sense of smell.
