... For Kambwili to willfully give false information to courts

ITis criminal for Chishimba Kambwili have willfully given false information to courts of law that he was merely a consultant for National

Democratic Congress (NDC) when in fact its leader, Lusaka lawyer Hobday Kabwe has said.

This follows a confession by Mr Kambwili in a video that went viral that he was the leader of the opposition

“With the way Mr Kambwili is fighting his expulsion from the ruling party on the notion that he was just a mere consultant for NDC, it is criminal for him to come out saying today that he was the party leader,” said Mr Kabwe.

Mr Kabwe pointed out that if Mr Kambwili had submitted the said argument before the courts under oath then he is liable for perjury.

And a leadership wrangle has erupted between Mr Kambwili and NDC secretary- general Mwenya Musenge. Mr Kambwili claimed that he was the founder of NDC, saying that Mr. Musenge was just appointed to fill up the gap. He said that as the person who formed the party, no member had powers to expel him. “I am NDC and NDC is Kambwili and the two cannot be separated,” Mr Kambwili said. This comes barely less than 24 hours after Mr Musenge announced the expulsion of Mr Kambwili

Meanwhile, Mr Musenge insisted that Mr Kambwili had been barred from representing the party at any forum.
