Deputy Mayoral Polls

To day, the Lusaka City Council like other local authorities in the country goes to the polls for the position of Deputy Mayor or Deputy Council Chairperson.

And since the party has made it very clear that democracy has to prevail, I am confident that only the best candidate will emerge victorious.

As usual, those who portray a negative image of the ruling party were expecting the secretariat to come up with preferred candidates for the position of Deputy Mayor or Deputy Council chairperson but here we are experiencing democracy.

Lusaka is the most interesting one being the capital city and there is no doubt that all eyes will be on Lusaka.

As a councillor and member of the Patriotic Front, I am happy with the way those who have expressed interest for the position of Deputy Mayor for the greater city of Lusaka are conducting themselves confirming that we are indeed brothers and sisters of one family. The maturity being exhibited by all the aspiring candidates is extremely encouragng.

In every election there’s a winner. God has already anointed one amongst us for the position of Deputy Mayor. Lev 1 v 5. True leadership is from God.
