I WILL APOLOGISE TO KAMBWILI - MUSENGE

- By SILUMESI MALUMO

I WILL apologise to my brother Chishimba Kambwili because I want peace to prevail between us, National Democratic Congress Party Secretary General Mwenya Musenge has said.

Mr Musenge said he had no grudge against the former Roan lawmaker despite the minor challenges they had faced.

Mr Musenge said he and Mr Kambwili would continue to be brothers like it had been before and ensure that they mobilise to grow the party.

Mr Musenge revealed that he had no problem to apologise to Mr Kambwili during the meeting the party would have this Friday if it was established that he wronged him.

He said that there was need for unity to prevail and concentrate on building the party.

“I have withdrawn the letter which I wrote to the Registrar of Society to halt party activities. So we have decided that we embrace peace and unity as leaders so that we plant a seed of peace and unity to our party members,” Mr Musenge said.

Mr Musenge said that the party would not tolerate members that would want to destablise it.

He said the party wanted to be different from other political parties by not entertaining any form of interparty wrangles.

He said members especially cadres found wanting would be expelled.

And Mr Musenge has called on the media to be professional as it was important for national development instead of dividing the country.

Mr Musenge said the media as a fourth estate must continue to play a critical role in the welfare of the country.

Mr Musenge who is also former Copperbelt Province minister said the media must at all cost distance itself from causing confusion in the country as it was danger to the country’s democracy.

He said the media was influential to society and that it was prudent to safeguard the democracy the country was enjoying.
