‘Let’s support vulnerable children’

- By MOSES SINJWALA

WE need to continue supporting vulnerable children in society as they play a cardinal role in Zambia’s future social and economic development, says Lusaka business man Crispin Chiinda.

Mr Chiinda said vulnerable children have the potential to be any one they wanted in life, but only if they were given the chance.

He said out of a group of ten children one could be become a doctor, nurse, lawyer and Member of Parliament but only if they were given a chance to grow in a well meaningful environment.

Speaking when he made a presentation of assorted glossaries at Champions of grace foundation for the less privileged in Avondale area, Mr Chiinda advised young people to remain resilient and focused in life.

“I want you to grow up as responsible young boys and girls, you might not have shoes or clothes today but be assured your situation will not be permanent.

I also grew up in different houses under difficult conditions, but through determination and God’s grace I have excelled,” he said.

And Champions of Grace Foundation proprietor Lieutenat-Colonel Hellen Kunda expressed gratitude for the gesture.

She disclosed that the foundation had about 60 bright vulnerable children all coming from the surrounding areas.

She said that the children had a brighter future and if given a chance would also play a key role to the social and economic development of Zambia.

“Vulnerable children should not be shunned and left on the cold, as they also have a key role to play in Zambia’s future, social and economic development agenda,” she said.

Vulnerable children have the potential to be any one they wanted in life, but only if they were given the chance.
