HH must prove assassination claims NOW

IT is time UPND president Hakainde Hichilema proved his claims of an assassination attempt on his life during the run-up to the Sesheke parliamentary by-election in February.
His continued failure to substantiate his claims is bound to give credence to those who have called him a liar.
People who have called him a liar have given reasons why they believe so and the reasons, without any rebuttal from Mr Hichilema.
In one of the clips on Prime TV, a television station closely linked to Mr Hichilema and UPND, showed the UPND leader looking into the camera and uttering something.
Surely, is that possible when armed killers, not ordinary ones but State armed killers are in hot pursuit after your blood? We have read and know what has happened in some countries. So Mr Hichilema should stop lying. It is embarrassing on his part.
Only recently, Mr Hichilema lied that Government had sold ZAFFICO to a Chinese company. It was extremely embarrassing when he was cornered on Radio Hot FM to substantiate his claims.
Reporter asks: You said ZAFFICO has been sold to the Chinese, do you have evidence of that?
HH answers: I’ve told you I did not incite anyone to riot.
He was asked repeatedly and he kept on evading the question, giving the same reply.
He failed to answer it. It was a huge embarrassment, and this speaks volume for a leader vying for the highest political office in the land!
