CB show an ideal platform – Cummins Limited

CUMMINS Zambia Limited will use the 2019 Copperbelt Show as a platform to reach out to as many prospectiv­e customers as possible, company Sales Manager Elijah Silwimba has said. He said the increasing number of prospectiv­e customers had compelled the company to exhibit at the show. Mr Silwimba was speaking in an interview at the Cummins stand at the show in Kitwe being held under the theme ‘Innovative Partnershi­p for Empowermen­t and growth.’ He said Cummins Zambia Limited was a ‘Power House’ because it was providing power solutions to mining companies like engines, gensets, and Cummins packs which included parts for the engines, valvoline oil, ltrations and others. “We have seen that there are a lot of prospectiv­e customers in Kitwe and so we want to use the show as a platform to reach out to the masses,’’ Mr Silwimba said. And Cummins Zambia Limited Executive Assistant, Ula Matyai, said the company had not been exhibiting at the show in the last two years because it had not establishe­d a footprint at the time. Ms Matayi said the rm would continue to o er quality products to the mining industry and the community through Corporate Social Responsibi­lity programme. Some of the companies and organizati­ons exhibiting at the this year’s show include Kalulushi Clay Bricks, the Zambia Chamber of Mines, Zambia State Insurance Corporatio­n, Blu Rock Mining Services, Workers’ Compensati­on, Status Hi-tech and ZinPro Others were Zambia Correction­al Services, Kitwe City Council. Agricon, Bellview Truck Limited, ZAMBEEF, ZANACO, Nkana Water and Sewerage Company and Zamseed. Copperbelt Show Manager Karen O’Neil said new and old companies enjoy local support and derive maximum bene ts. “So those who want to grow and expand their businesses should exhibit at the Copperbelt show because it enjoys unequivoca­l local support,’’ she said She said among the foreign exhibitors at this year’s show were those from United States of America, Germany, Spain, Australia, China, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
