ZAMBIA STILL ATTRACTIVE - US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Mr Zaumu observed that that the current economic challenges Zambia was facing were global.

He commended Government on the measures it was putting in place to deal with the challenges facing the economy.

He was speaking in an interview in Lusaka.

“Business has been good over the last couple of years but obviously these are challengin­g times not only in Zambia but also globally and therefore anything that Government can do to ease business for the American companies in Zambia will be very much appreciate­d.

Meanwhile, Mr Zaumu called for more consultati­ons with stakeholde­rs on the proposed sales tax and the Employment code Act of 2019.

Mr Zaumu said this would enable the business community to be aware the impact from the Employment code Act and the soon to be introduced sales tax.
