‘STOP PREMATURE CAMPAIGNS’
Front members who are conducting premature campaigns in constituencies and wards.
Copperbelt PF chairman Nathan Chanda said Members of Parliament and councillors should be left to fulfil their development obligations instead of sabotaging their works through premature campaigns in their areas.
Mr Chanda was speaking in Kitwe at the weekend at Riverain Primary School when he addressed officials from Kwacha constituency where there would be a ward by-election following the death of Godfriah Chulu.
Mr Chanda urged the leadership in Lubwa ward and Kwacha Constituency to continue supporting their MP, Mr Joe Malanji who had proved to be hard working.
"You have a hard working MP who deserves support from you. So make sure that you are united and deliver Lubwa ward to the PF. With a hard working MP and PF ward councillor, things will flow smoothly,'' he said.
And Mr Chanda said the party will not entertain indiscipline from the members of the security wing and those found guilty will face stern disciplinary action.
Some PF security wing officials were reported to have insulted provincial officials during the Copperbelt Agriculture Mining Industrial Networking Enterprise last week in Kitwe.
''We will ensure that we maintain discipline, we will not tolerate any form of indiscipline. S
o I would like to inform you that some members of the security wing who misbehaved at the Copperbelt show will be disciplined.
"To be in the security wing is not to insult people. No, it is to keep peace and harmony.
We cannot afford to have members of the security wing being a problem themselves. No, we can't,'' Mr Chanda said.
And speaking earlier, Kwacha Constituency chairman Alex Chembo said the stage for the by-election was set in Lubwa ward and victory was certain for the PF.
Mr Chembo said the land was fertile in Lubwa ward and this had made the leadership in the area to be confident of victory in the by-election.
"As Kwacha constituency, we are grateful for your care, but let me tell you that victory is certain.
We are on the ground and I can tell you that victory is certain,'' Mr Chembo said.
