GROWTH AGENDA INSPIRES KANONGESHA

improvemen­t of internet connectivi­ty and phone network in Mwinilunga is a milestone towards developmen­t in many aspects, Chief Kanongesha has said.

Chief Kanongesha was elated that there was improved mobile phone and internet connectivi­ty in his Chiefdom.

The traditiona­l leader said Government had facilitate­d the provision of electricit­y to the rural district and had assisted the royal establishm­ent with the means of transport.

He said the people in the district could now connect with the world and watch various programmes on television in the comfort of their homes due to the availabili­ty of connectivi­ty and electricit­y.

"This is unpreceden­ted because out of the four promises, at least three of them have been fulfilled and we are very happy as the royal establishm­ent," he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Mwila informed the traditiona­l leader that he was in Mwinilunga as an envoy of President Lungu. He said he had travelled to the North-western province to welcome thousands of defectors in Samuteba ward where a UPND councillor Paul Mbelelen'gi recently joined the PF. Mr Mwila said he had taken the opportunit­y to interact with the residents and listen to their concerns.

He further announced that he would engage General Education Minister, David Mabumba, and his Health counterpar­t, Chitalu Chilufya to look into putting up a secondary School and mini-hospital in the chiefdom.
