North-West Chamber trains hospitality industry workers

THE initiative by the North-Western Chamber of Commerce and Industry to build capacity among personnel in the hospitality industry ahead of next month’s provincial expo is commendable, the Hotel and Catering Association of Zambia (HCAZ) has said.

HCAZ North-Western Province secretary David Sondoyi said in a statement that the move by the chamber to sharpen skills of personnel in the hospitality industry was commendable.

“We would like to thank and commend the provincial chamber of commerce for coming up with the initiative of capacity building the personnel in the hospitality industry. is has helped our sta to be acquainted with the latest trends in the hospitality industry,’’ Mr. Sondoyi said.

He revealed that with the knowledge that has been given to personnel in the hospitality, the province was more than ready to host the investment expo.

Mr. Sondoyi said the forthcoming event was a money spinning venture which all entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry need to take advantage of.

‘’A lot of delegates including ordinary personnel will be coming into the province to explore investment potential, and these will be automatically looking for proper accommodation around here and so this will.be an added advantage for our people in the hospitality industry,’’ he said.

He also advised the association members to take advantage of the event so that they showcase the region’s potential in the industry.
