- By MUKOSELA KASALWE

THE involvement of various stakeholders in development is key because their feedback enables us to plan and execute our works effectively, says Mandevu’s Ngwerere 19 Councillor Adrian Banda.

Mr Banda said he was grateful to each and every group of people who had partnered with the community leadership in the quest to make Garden Compound a more habitable community. The civic leader said this in a commemoration message celebrating his three years tenure as Ngwerere Ward 19 councillor yesterday.

He thanked President Edgar Lungu for placing his faith in the young people by according them chance to showcase their leadership skills.

Mr Banda said Lungu’s agenda to President transform Zambia into an industrious nation by prioritising infrastructure development had not eluded his ward.

He cited two important roads namely, Pendela and Kanele Roads which had been built to bituminous standards.

Mr Banda said the international highway Katima Mulilo Road was on the cards for expansion into a dual carriage way. “Our ward has received massive support from Central Government and we appreciate as residents of Garden,” he said. Mr Banda paid glowing tribute to Mandevu Member of Parliament Jean Kapata for being available for Garden residents and the constituency.

He said Ms Kapata’s open door policy toward civic leaders in the constituency had made their work easier and that results were there for all to see.
