Nakachinda tells South MPs to aid expomarketing
Members of Parliament in Southern Province should help the Provincial administration market the region regardless of their political affiliation, Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) national secretary Raphael Nakachinda has called on.
Commenting on the forthcoming Southern Province Tourism and Investment Exposition set for September 14-21 in Livingstone, Mr Nakachinda said MPs being the representatives of the people should work with the provincial administration to ensure that the province’s potential was widely marketed as it was meant to find solutions for the people in the province.
The members of Parliament in Southern province regardless of whether they are UPND are supposed to take charge of the development of the province, he said.
He explained that it was the duty of the MPs to work with the administration in identifying potential investment opportunities in their respective constituencies as they were well placed to know what their areas are endowed with. obliged everyone involved in the administration of justice to ensure that they provided a fair hearing within a reasonable time.
Mr Lubinda said this during a fundraising reception organised by the Livingstone Communication Coordination Cooperation Initiative (CCCI) chapter at the Zambezi Boat Club on Saturday.
Mr Lubinda was accompanied to the function by Livingstone Member of Parliament Mathews Jere and his Katombora counterpart Derick Livune.
The fundraising reception was aimed at raising funds to support the rehabilitation of the witness shelter, holding cells and other requirements at the Livingstone subordinate court.
