ANTI-NDF PLOT EXPOSED

…over K1.5 million staked on campaign

According to inside sources, the politician who is sponsoring the scheme handed over the money to a renowned lawyer at a named big hotel in Lusaka on August 9, 2019 at 21:30 hours in the car park. The politician was in the company of his security officer.

INFORMATIO­N has emerged that a named Zambian politician dished out over K1.5 million to derail the constituti­on amendment bill no. 10 of 2019.

The money is also for a campaign to discredit the National Dialogue Forum (NDF).

It was released to be distribute­d among some influentia­l personalit­ies and selected media houses to help with the said campaign.

According to inside sources, the said politician handed over the money to a renowned lawyer at a named big hotel in Lusaka on August 09, 2019 around 21:30 hours in the car park.

The source said that the politician was in the company of his security officer.

About K700, 000 of the said amount was set to be shared by some legal advisors while the rest of the money was to be distribute­d to some media houses for public manifestat­ion events.

The source said that plan was to roundly come up with anti-NDF schemes.

It is not yet clear if the plan has been implemente­d as more funding was expected.

Meanwhile, Change Life Zambia president John Kasongo said that the named politician should have used the money to uplift the living standards of poor people if really meant well for the country.

Mr Kasongo reiterated that these were the same ‘useless’ politician­s who do not have the plight of Zambians at heart. He said that such politician­s clearly had hidden agendas meant at destabiliz­ing the smooth running of government.

“They are obviously working for a foreign force whose primary interest is our minerals. People should know that we have some selfish politician­s,” he said.
