Ndulo is a disappointment, says NDC

- By MOSES SINJWALA

PROFESSOR Muna Ndulo is a disappointment to the nation because unlike others in the diaspora, he has failed to give tangible advice on how to develop the country, Nation Democratic Congress NDC) national spokesperson Brian Chirambo has said.

Mr Chirambo said it was worrying that a highly learned person could offer nothing tangible to the country apart from undirected political ranting.

He said it was sad that only pointless augments and not solutions to develop the country were heard coming from the Professor each time he spoke.

Mr Chirambo said in an interview yesterday that in as much as there was nothing wrong with Prof Ndulo being critical on certain things about the nation, his negativity had gone too far as though he had a personal grudge against the government.

Mr Chirambo said people expected Prof Ndulo to offer sound advice to government as opposed to painting a negative image about his own country.

“What we want to see from people like Prof Ndulo is that when they give a critical voice they must as well give proper advice unlike being unnecessarily critical and negative throughout,” he said.

Mr Chirambo said it was a fact that the country had its own challenges that needed sorting out, but that denting and portraying the nation as though it was on fire was wrong and unacceptable.

He said Prof Ndulo should instead use his well-placed position to engage the authorities on matters of concern instead of talking in the media.
