Mr Mubanga, in an interview, explained that the developer would work with local contractors and it would increase economic activities in the country.
He said the developer for the two sites had been identi ed
through a procurement process that was conducted and has already been concluded.
“I know we have been talking about this for the past three
years but we have made signi cant progress in this area we
should be having a ground breaking ceremony soon to kick off the construction of housing units in two areas,” he said.
Mr Mubanga said ZNBS
would nance off-ta ers

developer would nance

He said ZNBS had written to many local authorities to request for land for the project and so far only Nyimba and Chilanga had responded.
“You are aware that ZBNS embarked on a housing project that is going to have an approach of the public private partnership model which involves different stakeholders coming in to deliver an affordable house to a Zambian in a low to medium income bracket,” he said.
He said ZNBS was promoting industrialisation by putting up infrastructures which was an industrial activity.
I know we have been talking about this for the past three years but we ha e ma e si nificant progress in this area; we should be having a ground rea in ceremony soon to ic off the construction of housing units in two areas,” — Mr Mubanga.
