Some of the bus drivers at the Capital Bus offices are now scared to work in the town centre because this was not the first time one of them was being attacked. Early this year, another driver was hacked and left for dead and was saved by members of the public who found him just after the attack. In the latest incident, Mwila, who died on Tuesday night at Levy Mwanawasa Hospital, knocked off at night and was trailed as he was going home before being hacked around 21: 30. Mr Kankhara said Mr Kamanda was taken to Chingwere Clinic and later transferred to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital by Capital Buses after management learnt of the incident. “He was doing well until he passed on yesterday night (Tuesday),” said Mr Kankhara. Mr Kankhara said that most of the Flash Buses drivers were now living in fear because they believed the attack had something to do with ongoing war over illegal bus stations. He appealed to President Edgar Lungu to intervene in the matter and dismantle all illegal bus stations. Mr Kamanda has left behind a wife and one child.
