Bitterness never made anyone a good leader

- By YOUNG MNANGAGWA, (The Crocodile).

THE opposition must take note that bitterness has never been and will never be a driving force to State House. The democratic atmosphere in Zambia should not be taken for granted by a few selfish individuals who are either bitter for not achieving their selfish agendas or are in a hurry to auction Zambia to their business friends.

Today, these leaders are sounding to be more patriotic and concerned about the Zambian people and yet they forget that the memories of the companies they liquidated at undervalued prices during the MMD government are still fresh. As Zambians we have learnt to understand that politics is not only about one getting into State House or being on top, if one is a leader they can show leadership at all levels.

Today the same leaders claim to be people-oriented and yet for over ten years they have failed to hold a single party convention which can show Zambians that they are democratic.

Now! If one can reject a simple democratic right of a convention in their own party, what more damage can they do to Zambia and its constitution once given a chance?Every government has its set backs, we saw that in UNIP, MMD and now in PF. And the government is tirelessly working to make the lives of Zambians better and Zambia a better place to live in. The only thing we need to focus on is to diversify or rather realign our focus on staple foods.

We don’t need to remind the Zambians that your children and the wealth you are enjoying in the opposition was amassed in the times you walked or rubbed shoulders with government wings.

Our humble and able leader Edgar Lungu has shown a great and more realistic form of leadership that has accommodated all Zambians from all regions.

The President of Zambia has clearly indicated that he is a president of all Zambians and has exercised his leadership without partiality. My question to my opposition leaders is that, for those who were once in PF, when did you realise the wrong governance system?
