WARMA registers 100 water drillers
ABOUT 100 drilling and exploration companies in Lusaka have been register in an effort to monitor their work, Ministry of Water Development Sanitation and Environmental Protection (MWDSEP) permanent secretary, Ed Chomba, has said.
Dr Chomba said the registration of drillers would ensure that citizens received value for their money.
He said the drillers registration would also help curtail the provision of substandard boreholes that some drilling companies were offering to customers.
Dr Chomba reiterated that registration of existing boreholes and prior authorization for drilling a borehole, would enhance management of groundwater and prevent pollution of the resources.
