SIMATAA SUES FAZ OVER LIFE BAN
BANNED football administrator Simataa Simataa has sued the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and 13 others over his life ban from all football related activities.
n a statement of claim filed in the usa a igh ourt
yesterday, Simataa says in hearing his case, the FAZ Ethics Committee relied on the FIFA Code of Ethics, which is not automatic but that the same should have been by FAZ Executive Committee regulation as opposed to impliedly doing so.
He said despite the aforesaid, he learnt of his life ban on social media and later he received a letter dated April 25, 2018 on May 7, 2018.

“The plaintiff shall contend that the decisions of the Ethics Committee are null and void in that their appointment was made outside the Constitution of the Football Association of Zambia and
the members lac the necessar ualification ithin the meaning
of the FAZ Constitution,” the statement read in part.
Simataa is now claiming that the appointment of FAZ Ethics Committee Chairman Kephas Katongo and two other members was illegal, null and void and should be quashed.
He also wants an order that all decisions made by the said
thics ommittee are null and void on account that the office bearers did not have the rere uisite ualifications at the time of
their appointment.
Simataa also wants damages arising from the life ban imposed on him, which resulted in him losing his contract at Forli
nvestments imited.
