Kambwili hallucinating - Musenge
ZAMBIANS should not take Chishimba Kambwili seriously because he is always hallucinating to seek sympathy and attention of the people, National Democratic Congress (NDC) secretary general Mwenya Musenge has said.
Mr Musenge said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday Zambians should not take Mr Kambwili seriously because he was always hallucinating, telling lies, making malicious and wild allegations which he was failing to prove whenever challenged. He was reacting to Mr Kambwili’s remarks that the Patriotic Front (PF) government was planning to deregister NDC while at the same time register Mr Musenge’s party to be called Zambia Our Own Motherland (ZOOM). Mr Kambwili said Mr Musenge had allegedly been holding secret meetings with Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo and the office of the Chief Registrar of Societies to have the NDC deregistered. But Mr Musenge rubbished Mr Kambwili’s allegations saying the former Roan Member of Parliament was seeking the attention of the people by maligning others and making unsubstantiated allegations. He said registering a political party was a tedious process which could not be done overnight. “The office of the Registrar of Societies is a public office which any person has access to. So any one can go and check if at all anybody has made efforts to register ZOOM. The problem with Mr Kambwili is that he is always hallucinating. “Yes, he is always telling lies, making malicious and wild allegations which he is failing to prove whenever challenged to prove them. Most of the allegations Mr Kambwili has made, he has failed to substantiate them. What kind of a leader is he? He is always waffling”, Mr Musenge said. Mr Kambwili had never been a member of the NDC or its president, but was merely hired to be a consultant before his contract was terminated. “We may have issues against President Lungu, but we take serious exception to the nasty language which Mr Kambwili has been using against President Lungu. As NDC, we don’t support such kind of behaviour. “It is shameful and embarrassing to the party. Mr Kambwili has imposed himself on the party and has ended up causing a lot of confusion. We need time to resolve the confusion he has caused by trying to hijack the party,’’ Mr Musenge said. He accused Mr Kambwili of dragging the NDC into the failed alliance with the United Party for National Development.
