Be loyal, civil servants urged
THE Civil Service Commission has urged civil servants to be disciplined and loyal to the government of the day.
Chairperson Dickson Chasaya said any disloyalty among civil servants would
hamper o ernment s development plans and their implementation.
“The desire of the commission is to see a disciplined and loyal civil service because we believe that you cannot serve two masters at a goal,” he said.
The civil setvants should therefore be disciplined and loyal to the government of the day.
Mr Chasaya was speaking in Solwezi when he paid a courtesy call on NorthWestern Province deputy permanent secretary Daglous Ngimbu yesterday.
He urged civil servants to always be punctual, impartial, respect one another, be accountable and observe
confidentialit as the discharge their duties.
Mr Chasaya said Government was committed and dedicated to monitoring and supervising the implementation of various development projects across the country.
He took advantage of his presence in the province to hand over the civil service strategic plan to the provincial administration.
Mr Chasaya urged the provincial administration not to shelve the document but acquaint themselves with what it contained.

Mr Ngimbu assured the commission that the strategic plan would be distributed to all the districts and departments in the province.
