ZAMBIA yesterday edged Botswana 1-0 in a match that could have seen them win by a bigger margin but for their scoring prowess that was below par.

She-polopolo squandered a host of chances which easily frustrated the fans at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Mary Mwakapila however

Mwakapila was a marvel to watch with her dribbling skills that often embarrassed the Botswana defenders.

ambia dominated the first

half but missed three clear chances with striker Racheal Nachula being the major culprit.

Skipper Barbara Banda who was tightly marked sent a scare to Botswana when she unleashed a long range shot which hit the wood work in the 27th minute.

Nachula missed a clear chance to double the scores when she missed at close range after a set-up from Banda, four minutes to the break.

espite achula s rust
