Barclays wins accolades

BARCLAYS Bank Zambia PLC has been named the 2019 Best Retail Bank and Best Corporate Bank by Internatio­nal Business Magazine.

Internatio­nal Business Magazine is a pioneer

markets.

The magazine has also named Barclays Zambia managing director, Mizinga Melu, 2019 Banking Chief

Executive Officer of the year.

Additional­ly, the bank had also been announced winner of the 2019 Customer Experience Organizati­on of the Year award by the Zambia Chartered Institute of

Customer Management.

Ms Melu said the developmen­t was yet another

confirmati­on of the company’s

commitment to delivering exceptiona­l customer service across all our products and services.

“As we transition from Barclays to Absa, we remain intensely focused on serving our customers with best in class service and we will continue to put our customers and clients at the centre of everything we do, as this forms the foundation of how we operate on a daily basis,” Ms Melu said.

And Barclays Bank Retail Director, Harton Maliki, said the organisati­on was proud to be a recipient of the Best Retail Bank award as this demonstrat­ed the positive direction that Barclays had taken. “With an investment of over K70 million in technology, the bank continues to invest in delivering banking solutions that are tailored for our diverse customer needs.
