Heat stroke (reminder)

There’s no compromise. It should be stopped.

That’s not even something to debate about, it should not even start.

Dear Editor,

PEOPLE are not angry with the Patriotic Front and President Edgar Lungu but those occupying both Party and Government positions who seem not to be helping the President but only interested in business deals.

Lately, I have been carrying out my own random political research to ascertain whether majority Zambians have given up on the PF and President Lungu.

Surprisingly and interesting enough people are still in love with PF and President Lungu but extremely angry with some individuals both in government and the party who seem not to be helping the President but only interested in business deals and personal affairs.

The honest and gospel truth is that many people I talked to seem to have the same concern and that is, calling for massive RESHUFFLES and RETIRINGS some individuals both in government and the party who clearly have overstayed in preference to young, fresh and new blood to steer our economy and the party 2021 and beyond.

Clearly, it’s important to note that when people overstay in T’ hot o t the e an please

What is heat stroke?

Heat stroke is a medical emergency that arises when the temperature control system of your body is overwhelmed by external high temperatures and succumbs both party and government positions they become fatigued resulting in retarding development, above all growth of our party, PF hence the need to make urgent RESHUFFLES.

In most cases I have noticed a growing trend among leaders both in the PF and Government of taking President Lungu’s humbleness, kindness and quiet persona in dealing with issues as a sign of weakness to the extent of doing wrong things putting the name of the party PF, Government PF and President in direct firing range of public ridicule without much fear of the presidency.

I have also noted with great concern the perpetual issuing of conflicting statements by some leaders both in the party and government in critical moments something that gives reasons enough to conclude that they are fatigued and need to be shown the door. uring the fifth memorial ceremony of our PF founding father late President Michael Chilufya Sata (MHSRIEP) Fr. Mulenga said and I quote: “Mr. President you have young fresh and intelligent people out there, make use of them to change the face of our country.”

Former Chongwe member of to it.

This condition arises when your body temperature rises to and or above 40 C. If the condition is not addressed it can cause death or permanent damage to vital organs quite quickly.

What are the symptoms of heat stroke?

Well, the most common thing you will observe is fainting. So if you find someone has fainted in this heat think about the likelihood of heat stroke.

Parliament Sylvia Masebo recently said and I quote: “If President Edgar Chagwa Lungu can make RESHUFFLES and FIRINGS, rebranding the party PF, that will be the end of UPND.”

Chishimba Kambwili was recently heard on Prime TV saying and I quote: “I may consider returning to PF only rebranded.”

Clearly, one does not need rocket science to know that the general atmosphere on the ground is eagerly waiting for massive RESHUFFLES and FIRINGS to restore trust, morale and confidence in our ma ority voters ahead of 2021 general elections.

It’s a well-known fact that we have people who have overstayed in government and the party most of these people are now fatigued, the earlier we diplomatically retire them in preference for new, young and fresh blood, the better for our party PF and the President Lungu.

The day the President Lungu will retire, reshuffle and fire some people both in government and the party that’s when the opposition will know that Mr. Hakainde Hichilema is surely going into political retirement come 2021. MAXWELL CHONGU,

PF DIE HARD. if it’s

The other features include seizures, headaches, fever, dry mouth, rapid heart rate, fast shallow breathing among other things.

What are the risk factors?

Exposure to high temperatures in extremes of age (elderly and children), alcohol consumption is the heat of the day, exercising in the heat of the day, locking children or yourself in the car in the heat of the day, poor ventilation.

What should you do if you suspect heat stroke?

Firstly, call for help. Call an

ambulance where possible.

Or rush the affected person to the nearest hospital. If it’s not immediately possible to take the victim to the hospital you may do the following: Move the victim into a shade or cooler place. Remove excess clothing like shoes, socks, jacket or rather, if it’s socially appropriate, remove all the clothes and leave the underwear on.

If you have access to water or ice, dip them in ice water or pour ice water on them. If you have a fan turn it on or fan them yourself. Stay with the patient until help arrives. Until next time. Be on the lookout.

Dear Editor,
take great care of your elderly and children. These two populations are most vulnerable to heat stroke. BUT, it can also happen to you if the conditions permit.
