DNA predicts fall of UPND Alliance

- By SILUMESI MALUMO

ZAMBIAN DNA is confident that with or without Constitutional Amendment Bill number 10 being differed or not, the UPND led Alliance will be defeated in 2021 elections, its spokesperson Spuki Mulemwa has said. Mr Mulemwa said President Edgar Lungu was enjoying massive support from majority Zambians due to greater things he was doing for the country. He said in a statement yesterday that the Head of State was on firm ground spreading development across the country which all Zambians were seeing. Mr Mulemwa said the opposition should know that President Lungu had gained more support than it was in 2015 and 2016. He said Mr Lungu was also making headways to ensure that the economy was brought to its wheels which would drastically improve the wellbeing of the people. “Unlike the opposition leaders who failed the leadership test by keeping their mouths shut when gay rights and same-sex marriage debate was raging, President Lungu demonstrated leadership by defending the country’s long- cherished Christian values and principles,” he said. Mr Mulemwa said it’s abundantly clear that the opposition leaders were now speaking the loudest on Constitutional Bill number 10 in an attempt to remain relevant amid their dwindling political fortunes. He said Zambians do not expect such a clique of hypocrites who were full of nothing but themselves to fool the collective intelligence of the Zambians.
