GAYISM & AID

- MBANGA IRVINE ILIKUI, Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States of America.

IT’Ssad that our acceptance of help from Western countries is tied to a disregard for what is uncultural for us as a people.

Don’t get me wrong, I accept the rights of every person should be respected and each allowed to do as they want with their lives as long as they don’t offend others, in this case, gays and lesbians.

But to be coerced to do that by another country through a simple ambassador with threats of aid withdrawal is a mockery to the intelligence of many Zambians both culturally and religiously.

If really the United States of America respects individual rights of its citizens and are promoting that then they would have respected those who want to marry two or more wives or husbands and not criminalised it.

Such acts to choose and respect gayism over polygamy or bigamy is hypocrisy of the highest order and should not be accepted.

Suppose we give in to gayism, what else will they command us to do in the name of withdrawing aid, it starts with one thing and soon we will be selling our country entirely in appeasing those who send aid to us.

Firstly, we are a sovereign nation and don’t need the suggestions of another country whatsoever on what to accept as right or wrong especially if it conflicts with our cultural and religious morals.

Secondly, just as Americans view polygamy and bigamy as sin and backward, even criminalising it, we too view gayism as animalish and a sin to God.

Thirdly, we are different races and people, they are Americans and many of them Caucasian, and it sits well with them. Well we are Africans and Black, and it doesn’t sit well with us.

To many so-called Christians in the country who are worried about how we will survive without aid and instead wishing the president gives in to such demands, your faith is being tested and you are failing the test, your willingness to sell your souls to support abominations just for a few pieces of meat like Esau is reaching Heaven and you will be found wanting. Remember accepting gayism will help in the supply of ARVs and help fund elections but it will affect your homes in the near future as your children and grandchildren will openly sodomise.

Aid or no Aid, I stand and support President Edgar Lungu’s stance not to accept or respect gay rights.
