and FISP Program must be reviewed.

“We suggest that the review should not be done by government officials but an independent organization. SAFADA have planned for the National Agriculture and Climate change summit to be held on 17 – 18 March 2020 as an intermediate Agriculture sector review summit to deal with issues related to climate change,

FISP, e-vouncher and other related Agriculture constraints and challenges in the country, “he said.

Mr Moobwe said he was not impressed with the current status of Agricultural policies and program.

He said the planned National Agriculture and Climate Change Summit was a databased and data driven summit that would discuss agriculture issues once and

all and come up with a new solution that would address issues affecting the Agriculture Economic sector.

Mr Moobwe said government should not hold any consultative or review conference, but should give (SAFADA) room to organize the summit and should just wait for the report.

“I strongly appeal to the ministry of Agriculture and all Agriculture stakeholders to support SAFADA’S plan to hold a National Agriculture and climate change Summit next year.

The summit will be incorporated into the 4th World agriculture and Applied Economics Conference scheduled for 20th to 21st April 2020 in Italy to which SAFADA is invited and we are looking forward to government support because we are going to represent Zambia at the conference,” Mr Moobwe said.
