‘Telesphore Mpundu is a cadre’

WE are aware that Telesphore Mpundu is a hired gun to spread falsehoods against the government in order to fight for regime change, Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee Kebby Mbewe has said.

Mr Mbewe said Archbishop Mpundu was also promised a job by a named party when it formed government that was the reason he was fighting hard in order to unseat the PF.

This scheme was already known, he wanted to ensure that he got a job that is why he calls the PF government or sorts of names.

Mr Mbewe urged Archbishop Mpundu to stop hiding in the name of the Church and come clear in the public that he had resorted to become a politician now.

He said in an interview yesterday that the clergyman should not fool Zambians when all his schemes were in the public domain.

“The man should tell the nation the truth about what he is. He is no longer a clergy man now because he is siding himself with a political party. When you belong to a certain political party you cease to be clergy because we politician­s will see you as one,” Mr Mbewe said.

Mr Mbewe also challenged

Archbishop Mpundu to produce evidence of corrupt people in the PF government.

He said as long as the clergy man did not produce any evidence, his statements would be considered to be fake.

“Let him produce evidence, this is the only way we shall take him seriously,” he said.
