Sinkamba ready to lead marijuana process
“People are saluting me for the legalisation of marijuana as the vision carrier and are also demanding that I lead the process of implementation because I’m the best person for that as the vision carrier,” - Mr Sinkamba
ICAN lead the process of i mplementation for the marijuana programme in Zambia meticulously as the vision carrier with a master plan already in place, Green Party president Peter Sinkamba has said. Mr Sinkamba said the whole country had stood out in unison, demanding that he leads the process of implementation as the driver of the idea.
He said in an interview that he was ready to take up the mandate in the national interest if he was given the opportunity to spearhead the process.
Mr Sinkamba said as the vision carrier, he was the one who knew better how the marijuana programme could best be implemented.
He said a master plan, which had won the hearts of many western countries as the best idea ever was already in place.
Mr Sinkamba said while he was being ridiculed in Zambia for suggesting legalisation of marijuana, his idea was being praised in other countries.
He said with the policy that he had already outlined for the marijuana programme, he would be the best person to lead the process of implementation.
“People are saluting me for the legalisation of marijuana as the vision carrier and are also demanding that I lead the process of implementation because am the best person for that as the vision carrier,” he said.
And Mr Sinkamba said there was need to expedite the implementation of the programme to help save the dwindling economy of the country.
He said resources from marijuana trade could be used to offset the debt and could be invested in viable sectors.
“It is patriotic to share ideas with Government for the betterment of the nation. It’s a pity the Zambian people took so long to buy into this imminently sensible policy. But Well done to us the Green Party as the vision carrier,” he said.
