HH hard-core tribalist, says GBM
HAKAINDE Hichilema is a hard core tribalist and this is undisputable, Patriotic Front vice national chairperson for mobilisation Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has said.
Mr Mwamba said Mr Hichilema cannot fool Zambians trying to hide his identity because he had shown himself that he was a tribalist.
He said party members from other tribes who had been embraced in the United Party for National Development (UPND) were there just for mere academic exercise.
The former UPND vice president for administration said people from other regions were not involved in party activities.
He said in an interview yesterday that those from other regions who were still trying to attach themselves to UPND knew that the party president did not want them but were only forcing themselves to be part of the grouping.
Mr Mwamba said people from other regions were facing hard times but had continued to stick around when they were not seen to be relevant in the party.
“How someone who gets along with everyone can be ditched by all the vice presidents he had. There was Richard Kapita, Canisius Banda, me and others and we all left because of the kind of treatment we were getting because we are from different regions.
This is undisputable, he can lie to some few individuals but not people like me who have been with him for quite some time and I could see his behaviour.
Does it mean that all of us who left we were very bad, the answer is no, we left because the man does not embrace those from different regions,” he said.
Recently, President Edgar Lungu while in Southern Province, said Mr Hichilema was a tribalist who wanted to divide the country.
