‘Embrace all politicians’

- By MARTIN AKENDE

PRESIDENT EDGAR Lungu has appealed to the church to embrace politicians whether they seek salvation or votes in the House of the Lord.

President Lungu said as 2021 was fast approaching, politicians will visit churches in numbers either to seek salvation or votes.

"2020 is a special year for all of us, I say this because we (politicians) will come in numbers either to seek salvation or votes “give us Jesus”, President Lungu said.

The Head of State said this during a church service and launch of Praise Christian Centre "House of Praise headquarters in Lusaka's PHI area.

And President Lungu said the country was witnessing violence because some people had not accepted Jesus in their hearts.

"If Jesus Christ found place in our hearts whether we win or lose we will still show love to others," stated the president.

And delivering the Homily Praise Christian Centre Overseer Bishop Edgar Ng'ambi commended the President for striving to protect Christian values and beliefs.

Bishop Ng'ambi said President Lungu had been outstanding in promoting peace and standing with God all the time.

In reading Psalms 92 vs 10, Bishop Ng'ambi told the congregants that God had great things for them in the new season of 2020.

He urged the congregants to aim higher in the New Year as God was ready to lift them.

During the same service 5 pastors where ordained as bishops to preside over the five regions across

Zambia.
