UPND leaders misleading public on Bill 10
UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) has clueless leaders who are misleading Zambians on Bill 10 meant to improve the governance system of the country, Government Deputy Chief Whip Tutwa Ngulube has said.
Mr. Ngulube said the UPND had shown that it had leaders who lacked knowledge by misleading Zambians on the important bill.
He said in an interview yesterday, it was shocking that the opposition political party could lie to the Zambians that all contents in the bill were contentious which had nothing to improve the governance of the country.
It is very saddening that Zambia has political leaders who cannot tell Zambians the truth but always want to object because they lack knowledge, he said.
Mr. Ngulube who is also Kabwe Central Constituency Member of Parliament observed that the UPND were behaving childishly because they do not understand what was in the bill.
“The behavior being exhibited by the UPND leadership shows that they are not ready to govern this nation. People who really care for the Zambians cannot go round spreading lies on national issues.
They are busy saying that what they are doing is coming from Zambian people, their views are not coming from Zambians but it is views with lack of knowledge. They should be very ashamed because they will not punish the Patriotic Front government but the Zambian people if the bill fails,” he said.
Mr. Ngulube said that the UPND should realise that the 2016 amended constitution had lacunas which were not good for the nation and it needed to be refined.
He said that it was prudent the UPND changed its childish kind of politics and engaged in politics that would help the Zambian people.
“Since UPND was formed it has been against whatever success governments were doing to amend the constitution, this happened during Levy Mwanawansa, Rupiah Banda, President Sata and now under President Edgar Lungu. This political party does not mean well for people of Zambia,” he said.
