NKANA STALEMATE ANGERS BUFFALOES COACH

- By MICHAEL MIYOBA

Green Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda has expressed disappointment with his team’s failure to beat Nkana in a week-18 match which ended 2-2 at Heroes Stadium.

Buffaloes failed to hold on to their 2-1 lead and allowed Nkana defender Richard Ocram to score a last minute goal to force a stalemate.

“A very disappointing game for us after playing well and dominating play, we just gave away the goal at the end. That’s why they say in football you have to stay focused until the last whistle but we lost out because of lack of concentration and we gave away the points,” Musonda said.

Musonda is however happy with the way Buffaloes played and dominated ball possession especially in the second half.

He was hopeful that Buffaloes would bounce back when they Mighty Mufulira Wanderers in their next fixture after making great improvements in the second round of the FAZ Super Division.

Meanwhile, NAPSA Stars FC coach Mohamed Fathi has hailed former Green Eagles striker Tapson Kaseba for scoring a brace and providing two assists in his debut appearance for NAPSA Stars.

Speaking after NAPSA Stars thumped Mighty Mufulira Wanderers 4-0 in a week-18 MTN/FAZ Super Division fixture with Kaseba involved in all the four goals, Fathi said the lethal top man who signed a one year loan deal from Eagles is a professional striker capable of making a positive impact at NAPSA.

“This is why we brought Tapson to Napsa because we know his quality and we expect a lot from him and we know that he will not let us down.

“Tapson is a national team player and for me he is a professional player and I am sure he is going to have a bright future at Napsa,” Fathi said.

Fathi described the 4-0 bashing of Wanderers as a good start for NAPSA Stars in the second round of the Super Division.

“It’s a good start for the second round and we will keep ourselves in the top four and it is motivation for the players and we have to stay focused for the next game,” he said.

However, the same couldn’t be said by Wanderers coach Harison Tembo who attributed the defeat to a porous midfield.

“A very disappointing game for us after playing well and dominating play, we just gave away the goal at the end. That’s why they say in football you have to stay focused until the last whistle but we lost out because of lack of concentration and we gave away the points.”
