‘THERE WILL BE NO FUEL CRISIS’
THERE will be no fuel shortage in the country at any given time, Ministry of Energy Permanent Secretary Trevor Kaunda has said.
Mr Kaunda said the information circulating that there would be fuel crisis were false and baseless.
The Permanent Secretary said in an interview yesterday that Zambians should not panic because the country would not face any fuel crisis.
Information has gone viral that there will fuel short crisis in the country, alleging that Government had failed to pay suppliers.
But Mr Kaunda said such information was emanating from mere speculations and emphasised that the country would not face any crisis.
“Those are mere speculations, the country will not face any fuel crisis. We shall continue to have the fuel as it has been all the time.
“So people should not take the speculations seriously because we are always on top to ensure that the commodity is readily available,” Mr Kaunda said.

Minister, Mathew Nkhuwa, would soon give a comprehensive statement on the matter.
“The Minister will soon give a comprehensive statement over the matter which is being circulated,” he said.
