‘MOB KILLINGS AN OPPOSITION SCHEME’

THE ongoing chemical spraying and mob killings are circulated scheme by an opposition party to cause fear in the country, Muchinga Province Minister Malozo Sichone has said.

Mr Sichone said a political party had schemed to create chaos in the country ahead of 2021 general elections.

The minister was speaking when he addressed village headmen in Isoka.

He said an opposition political party had put in place a plan to spray chemicals and carryout mob justice against innocent people to create fear among citizens.

"What is happening in this country is not from without, the gassing and mob justice are all part of the plan to cause uncertainty ahead of the 2021 polls," Mr Sichone said.

He said those spreading falsehoods and accusing people of being gassers were all part of the plan.

He said the perpetrators of mob justice were hired by disgruntled opposition elements to destabilise the nation.

Mr Sichone said falsehoods were also part of the evil plan to cause instability and create a lift between Government and the citizens.

"Where are these people carrying out mob justice getting fuel to burn those suspected to be gassers from? This is why we are staying it is a well-planned plan,

"These people are so determined to cause breakdown in law and order to make the country ungovernable," Mr Sichone said.

And Mr Sichone advised village headmen to speak against tribalism in their villages.

He said village headmen as traditional leaders should encourage people to co-exist regardless of their tribes and political affiliation.

Mr Sichone who is also Isoka member of Parliament called on village headmen denounce artificial political hatred by some opposition politicians.
