FORMER WBC female bantamweight champion Catherine Phiri says she is not intimidated facing Mexico s amileth Mercado in next month s WB title fight to
be staged in Mexico.
WBC has set March 21 as the
date of the fight to be staged in hihuahua, Me ico.
nd spea ing during a press briefing held at ational ports ouncil, Phiri hailed for handing her another opportunity to challenge for the title.
Phiri said she was loo ing forward to fighting the Me ican bo er who convincingly beat enyan champion atuma ari a last year to scoop the title.

Phiri s coach Mi e ulu said his camp is not under pressure preparing for the fight against the Me ican who is deemed as the favourite to defend her title when she faces Phiri.
Meanwhile, P manager hris Malunga said the team will leave the country days before the bout for Phiri to acclimatise before facing the Me ican.
Malunga said his team would have loved to host the fight in ambia but the situation on the ground does not allow us to put up a title fight.”
