- By MUKWIMA CHILALA

THE E is a lot of political in uence in our football today and this is the reason there is so much infighting, Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) presidential aspirant Emmanuel Munaile has said.

nd another presidential aspirant oseph ole noted that there was need to re focus on football development rather than fighting personal battles at the e pense of the game.

Speaking when they featured on et the people tal ” programme on adio Phoenix yesterday, the two presidential aspirants alluded to the fact the standards of the game in ambia had gone down.

Muanaile said that there so much politics in football and that was affecting the game, stating that it was the reason for the continued infighting that had roc ed the sport.

The former ambia national team midfielder said that the game could only be developed if everyone was embraced and that each and every administrator past and present had an important role to contribute to the game.

Those who have served before are very important, if tomorrow amanga president is not at ootball ouse anymore, he still is an important player because he nows so much which he can contribute to football, even alusha is an important player because he nows so much,” Munaile said.

thin it would be very unfair for mmanuel Munaile as president of the association to look at these men as ust mere people who can t contribute because we want to heal our football and the only way we can do that is by tapping the knowledge of those who have served before.

nd ole said it was important to end the bic ering and divisions in football but instead focus on why ambia had missed out two consecutive frica ups and on the verge to miss out on another tournament.

oth ole and Munaile are challenging incumbent president ndrew amanga after having passed met the integrity test re uirements ahead of the March elective general meeting.
