Gassing, mob justice well planned- PF

- By NATION REPORTER

“Everywhere in this country you have cells of people who have been trained to carry out these criminal acts. ere is no doubt about that and it is also very clear that the master minders of this are doing so to create anxiety in people hopefully raise people’s emotions to the point that they revolt against a legitimately elected government.’’ - Mr Mwanza

ONGOING gassing incidences and instant killing of suspects by mob justice is a well orchestrated and calculated ploy to force people to revolt against a legitimately elected government, the Patriotic Front (PF) has charged.

PF deputy media director Antonio Mwanza says the incidences are not happening spontaneously but are happening because people have planned to do them.

“Everywhere in this country you have cells of people who have been trained to carry out these criminal acts. There is no doubt about that and it is also very clear that the master minders of this are doing so to create anxiety in people and hopefully raise people’s emotions to the point that they revolt against a legitimately elected government.

“That is the ultimate goal of the people that are causing this very criminal and heinous acts. It is very clear that they are the same people who are instigating not mob justice but targeted murder. They are deliberately inciting people to go for innocent citizens,” Mr. Mwanza said when he featured on UNZA Radio yesterday. He said there is no way Zambians can suddenly turn into cold blooded killers who can burn people alive. He said they are the same people who are mobilizing mobs to destroy police infrastructure after gassing suspects are picked up for interrogation and safe custody.

Mr. Mwanza said the gassing master minders failed to calculate that Zambian people are peaceful citizens who love peace and hate blood, violence, and anarchy.

“They thought the people will rise against this government. People are supporting this government because they know and understand that there is no government that can start to gas, kill, mutilate, and burn its own citizens and destroy public property.

“That can’t happen and we are happy that the Zambians have roundly condemned these actions. We are happy that Zambian people have confidence that President ungu is leading men and women in uniform to deal with these matters,” he said. He said the PF is happy with the progress the police have made so far and is further confident that by working with other law enforcement agencies, they will get to the bottom of those funding and sponsoring the criminal acts.
