‘Marshal plan needed over gold, marijuana management’

minister Katele Kalumba has advised.
r alumba said gold and mari uana were high value products that could contribute immensely to Government coffers but that there was need for a proper framework on how the products could be utilised.
e said in an interview that there was need for a proper production plan and well sourced market for the products.
r alumba warned that without a marshal plan, gold and mari uana would only benefit a few rich individuals while most citi ens remain impoverished despite the country having high valued products.
e said there was need to constitute a team of experts that would specifically look at how these high valued products would be well managed for the benefit of all citi enry.

“ here is need for come up with a proper framework on how gold and mari uana which are all high valued products will best benefit ambians without being abused. here should be clear framework on production and a well sourced market,” he said.
r alumba said for mari uana, there should be a clear plan on who should be registered as a farmer for the product, inspectorial provisions for quantities, expected harvest and a well sourced and arranged market.
e said mari uana should not end up being a product that goes on the market uncontrolled and left open to be misused.
r alumba said e ually for gold, there should a mechanism in which the mineral resource was produced and marketed.
e said the team should be mandated to consult all relevant stakeholders how the high valued products could be well managed for the benefit of ambians.
