Solwezi hospital gets new blankets
TITAN Drilling Company has donated 70 blankets to Solwezi General Hospital worth K7, 000, the Daily Nation has learnt.
Company Human Resources Manager, Gladys Mulongo, said the company thought it wise to make the donation as a way of ploughing back to the community.
She said the company would continue supplementing Government's efforts through various initiatives in order to improve the standard of living for the people.
"As a company, we feel duty bound and that is why we decided to make this donation in form of blankets to this facility," she said.
And receiving the donation, hospital representative, Felita Manyika, commended the company for the gesture.
She said the donation had come at a time when patients needed more blankets.
"On behalf of the hospital management, I would like to commend you for this gesture because it will go a long way in increasing the number of blankets that the hospital currently has," she added.
Meanwhile, Solwezi District Commissioner, Rosemary Kamalonga, said such gesture by the drilling company would complement Government's efforts in improving health care
