‘Working with HH my worst nightmare’

WORKING with UPND president Hakainde Hichilema as his Vice President was my worst nightmare, former UPND Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has said.

Mr Mwamba said anyone who would accept to work with Mr Hichilema as vice president and running mate will be making the worst mistake of his or her lifetime.

Mr Mwamba said anyone who would accept to work with Mr Hichilema as vice President and running mate will be making the worst mistake of his or her lifetime.

He said he regretted having worked with Hichilema as his vice president describing it as the worst mistake of their life.

Mr Mwamba said there was something wrong with Mr Hichilema as evidenced by the number of vice presidents that had left the UPND.

“Those of us who have been there including the six other former UPND vice presidents regret having worked with UPND leader because he is a self-centered man who does not care about the wellbeing of the country,” Mr Mwamba said.

Mr Mwamba said Mr Hichilema’s appetite to ascend to power was driven by selfish interests and that he would not want to see any Zambian to go through what he experienced working with him.

“From all the seven of us no one ever acted as President even when he (Hichilema) is out and one wonders what kind of leadership that is,” he said.

Mr Hichilema thinks he was the alpha and the omega of the UPND, Mr Mwamba said.

“I feel pity for whoever would want to take up the position as UPND vice president because HH tells his MPs not respect his vice president, “he said.

Mr Mwamba said he does not think any of the former UPND vice presidents would want to go back to UPND.

“Even in my wildest dream, I wouldn’t want to work with Hakainde Hichilema as his Vice President,” Mr Mwamba said.
