‘You’ll be sorry’

‘Opposition will pay for insulting Chitimukulu’

OPPOSITION political parties sponsoring members and surrogates to insult Paramount Chief Chitimukulu are doing it at their own peril, former UPND presidential advisor Richard Kachingwe has warned.

Major Kachingwe demanded that the opposition should apologise to Chitimukulu and the Bemba people.

He said the opposition would regret having disrespected the Mwinelubemba because they would be made to take back their disrespectful sentiments through the ballot

“Members of the opposition that are taking pride in insulting our Paramount Chief Chitimukulu are doing it at their own peril because we shall never allow anyone to disrespect our chief,” he said.

Maj Kachingwe said it was important for the opposition to realise that they would need the Bemba vote for them to win elections.

“Because they are insulting our chief we will make sure that we deny them our votes because we cannot have anyone disrespect our traditional ruler,” he said.

Maj Kachingwe demanded that UPND and its surrogates insulting Mwinelubemba must apologise to him and the Bembas.

“We will make sure that opposition leaders allowing their surrogates to insult our chief pay for it at the time of need because we will mobilise Zambians to revenge in next year’s elections,” he said.

Maj Kachingwe said Mwinelubemba like any other Zambian had the right to freedom of expression and opinion on any topic of national importance.

He said Chitimukulu has not done anything wrong to warrant insults from the opposition.

“At first Chitimukulu was advising us as Bembas on taking part in voting then this time he talked about people claiming that there is no freedom of expression, then they start insulting him. What type of politicians are they!” Maj Kachingwe wondered.
