BRE pledges Bill 10 support
THE Baroste Royal establishment (BRE) in Senanga have pledged support for the Constitution Amendment Bill number 10 of 2019. BRE Senanga Senior Induna Mbindawina Maswe Sifunganyambe in an interview explained that the traditional leadership agrees with the contents found in Bill 10. Induna Mbindawina expressed happiness that the traditional leadership will be brought closer to the central Government through the amended bill. He said the people of Senanga will rally behind the Patriotic Front government as it has the concerns of the people at heart. And in the same vein, Induna Maboshe Lyan’anga Sianga of Kakenwa Kuta explained that the people were behind their Member of Parliament Mukumbuta Mulowa’s support of Bill 10. Induna Maboshe said the community has faith in Mr Mulowa which was the reason why he was voted for to represent them in parliament. Government said recently that it will go ahead and present the Constitution Amendment bill number 10 of 2019 for the second reading in Parliament. week. Justice Minister Given Lubinda disclosed this during a media briefing in Lusaka that out of 79 clauses contained in the bill, the Parliamentary Select Committee recommended the adoption of 46 of the proposed amendments with 33 clauses commented on. Mr. Lubinda said Cabinet will now go ahead and present proposals for Amendment of bill number 10 for consideration by Parliament, adding that, on behalf of the Executive, he will put up notices of amendments to give effect to the various clauses.
