‘We will see you in our stronghold­s’

THE Patriotic Front will reciprocat­e the treatment the UPND subjected the Head of State to in Monze in all ruling party stronghold­s, several PF regional leaders have vowed. The irate officials have declared most PF inclined provinces as no- go area for the UPND leadership. This follows the unruly behavior by some UPND cadres exhibited towards the President during his recent visit to Southern province. PF chairperso­n for women, Jean Kapata declared all party stronghold­s a no go area for UPND leaders. Ms Kapata said the failure by the opposition party leadership to condemn the unruly behaviour of their cadres proved they incited the animosity. “Being a former UPND youth leader, I am 100% sure that the unfortunat­e incident that occurred in Monze District where President Edgar Lungu had gone on National duty had the blessing of the Party leadership in long serving Member of Parliament, Jack Mwiimbu and the party president Hakainde Hichilema,” former UPND Lusaka district youth treasure Francis Sampa said. And PF Copperbelt province mobilisati­on chairperso­n, Bowman Lusambo said the PF in the province would make it impossible for the UPND to conduct any business there. Mr Lusambo said that the party would reciprocat­e the treatment the opposition was subjecting the head of state to and carry it out to good measure on the Copperbelt Mr Lusambo who is Kabushi Member of Parliament and Lusaka province minister said the opposition ought to realise that President Edgar Lungu was a President for all Zambians and held the highest public office in the land and that he deserved respect. Meanwhile, PF youths in Luapula Province have reacted angrily to UPND youths booing of President Edgar Lungu in Southern. Kawambwa PF youth Chairperso­n Kalumba Chifumbe said that UPND leader's failure to condemn violence by his cadres was an indication that their actions had his blessings. And PF Muchinga province chairperso­n Alex Simuwelu said UPND leaders and members should expect a taste of their own bitter medicine following their disrespect­ful tendencies. The PF in Northern province have challenged the UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema to condemn the barbaric conduct of his unruly cadres in Monze district. Provincial youth secretary, Chanda Nsofu said Mr Hichilema must take responsibi­lity for his cadres’ behavior towards President Edgar Lungu. And PF Eastern Province chairman, Andrew Lubusha said Mr Hichilema must take responsibi­lity for the barbaric behavior towards President Lungu when he visited southern province.
