CB PF on the trot
THE Patriotic front (PF) on the Copperbelt has enhanced its membership mobilisation to sustain the grip on the ruling party’s stronghold ahead of campaigns for the 2021 general elections.
As a sustainable strategy, the PF leadership is blending efforts with the mobilisation committee in the province.
Copperbelt PF Chairperson, Nathan Chanda, said his team and other structures below were working well with the mobilisation team, which also had gone all-out to get new members and also propel the existing membership.
Mr Chanda said that the elected officials were working side by side with the members of the mobilisation committee.
The Copperbelt PF chairman was speaking during a meeting with party members at the PF Copperbelt Province mobilisation Chairperson Bowman Lusambo’s residence in Ndola.
He stated that he was aware that the mobilisation team was running across the province to meet the public.
He assured Mr Lusambo that the executive team would embrace and work with him to achieve the goal of the party and ensure that President Edgar Lungu remained in State House beyond 2021.
And Mr Lusambo who is Kabushi Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) pledged to work hard with the provincial executive to retain PF in power.
Mr Lusambo, who is also Lusaka province Minister, said the mobilisation committee had a target to deliver 22 MPs to parliament in the 2021general elections.
He stated that he would work with the Provincial Chairperson in order to take the goal and vision of the party forward.
Mr Lusambo indicated his mobilisation team was following the people to their various locations as opposed to holding rallies The Copperbelt PF Provincial team was meeting with committee members and introducing new members of the mobilisation team in Ndola.
