Dear

Editor,

Dear Editor,

I wish to quickly agree with Dr Nevers Mumba who last Sunday on CBC TV rightly pointed out that Rwanda is today’s Africa model for immense economic development due to hard work.

Indeed presently there is no single country within Africa that can match the development pace of Kigali.

This is because the people of that country have rolled up their sleeves and turned to hard work.

I have been to Rwanda to confirm this. Just imagine a country with zero rate crime which ensures safety of investors’ money.

Now look at Zambia, 56 years of independence we have no idea how to dig out our precious minerals.

Zambia has most of the water in the southern region but what is there to show for it? Zambia, I am afraid has been reduced to a zombie status because of sheer laziness and hate speeches.

Zambians have taken to insults, especially levelled against those in power with absolute ease and without an iota of shame.

There are those media houses which print and broadcast insults daily which even shock the Devil.

If this will be our way of dong things in Zambia we might as well forget about development and continue to admire Kigali.

I mean there must be occasions when, example, HH should visit President Lungu at State House for a cup of tea and share ideas on how to develop the nation as Zambians.

But all we hear are those insults in the morning, insults in the afternoon and insults in the night as KK once cried.

For now the future of Zambia is hard to foretell.
