Nsengas warn ‘bitter’ Panji Kaunda
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) member, Colonel Panji Kaunda has been urged to tone down on the unfounded allegations against Tasila Lungu, failure to which he will be opening a Pandora box.
Nsenga Cultural Association chairperson, Moses Lungu, said if Col. Kaunda does not restrain himself from attacking President Lungu’s daughter, the association would unleash missiles on him.
Col. Panji has asked the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate the source of Tasila’s K2 million she paid for a 600-hectare farm in Eastern province.
But Reverend Lungu said the association would not take lightly the disparaging remarks and unfounded allegations from Panji Kaunda against the daughter to the Head of State because he was putting the people of Eastern province in a bad light.
“Panji should not destroy the people of Eastern province over unfounded allegations for political mileage, as an association we are wondering. It's uncultured for him as a parent to conduct himself in the manner he is conducting himself, we urged him to be very reasonable”, he said.
Rev Lungu, who is also Evangelical Youth Alliance president, said yesterday in an interview that in the same way the people respected the first Republican President, Kenneth Kaunda and his fam
Colonel Panji Kaunda ily, was the way Panji Kaunda should respect the current Head of State and his family.
“In all fairness, Panji Kaunda should be the last to comment anything on Tasila because when his father was the Head of State no one would dare government in those days, now the Bible teaches that do unto to others as you would want them to do onto you.
He advised Panji Kaunda not to be so bitter about the lifestyle of Tasila if he himself abused his opportunities as the son to the first Republican President through a reckless lifestyle.
Rev Lungu stated that Tasila had just taken advantage of being the daughter of the President by putting resources together and opportunities that come with it to good use.
He said by virtue of being the daughter of the President, Tasila was sitting at opportunities where people could freely do business with her and gesture her with all sorts of gifts with no one stopping them from doing so.
