Meanwhile, “Micho” says the technical bench will assess all players both local and international who have never played for the national team.

He said there are a lot of good players playing in competitive leagues outside Zambia and are being monitored for possible national team call ups.

“Micho” reminded Zambian players playing in foreign countries to always work hard to continue impressing and enjoying game time at their clubs to attract better deals at bigger clubs.

He said the technical bench would sweep through the country to scout for under-23 players who will be pitted against the CHAN team as

Zambia continues to prepare for the Cameroon tournament set for January 2021.

“We shall have visitation to the provinces where we shall build capacities of technical staff and secondly; we shall make an under-23 squad of young players from the provinces that will make the provincial teams which will later play against our CHAN team so that we can recognise and see whether there are players we have missed on the local level,” he said.

“Micho” said Zambia needs to prepare for the COSAFA tournament where they are defending champions and where we shall probably use the CHAN local based team to give them the best local platform for the January CHAN tournament in Cameroon
